Fall 2009 Vegas Poker Tournament Schedule

The
World Series of Poker Europe has wrapped up and the summer season for 2009 is over. The scorching heat of the Las Vegas summer is beginning to subside, and poker players everywhere are getting geared up for all the action that will be held in the city over the next two months. Most big name professionals will settle into the city until they head to Australia in the New Year for the Aussie Millions. There's never a shortage of tournament action in Vegas this time of year, and these are the biggest events scheduled for the fall of 2009.
Currently the big event that's going on is the WPT Season 8 Festa Al Logo Classic at the Bellagio. Action started on Oct 2 and will run until Oct 23. In total, including satellites, there will be 24 events including a $10K H.O.R.S.E. event, a $10K
Pot Limit Omaha Event, and the $15K Main Event Championship. The championship main event will be a six-day event and should have a monster prize pool.
From Oct 14 to 29 the 2009 Caesars Palace Classic will be held at, of course, Caesars Palace. 20 events are scheduled with the $5K Main Event starting on Oct 27. Almost all of the action is below a $1K buy-in and should be popular with tourists and amateur players. Most tourneys cost $300 or $500 to enter.
Vegas poker action in November will feature the
WSOP Main Event final table from Nov 7-10. Once again the action will be available on pay-per-view television and will crown a new multi-millionaire champion. If you've been living under a rock for the last three months, Phil Ivey has made the November Nine and will be looking to take down the only thing he hasn't won on a poker table, the WSOP Main Event Championship.
Also in November in
Sin City will be the 2009 Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza from Oct 30 to Nov 25 at the Venetian Hotel and Casino. 25 events will be played with the $2500 Main Event scheduled for Nov 23. Like the Caesars Palace Classic in October, these events are almost all a $500 buy-in or less.
At the end of November the Bellagio becomes the spot to go again when they host the 19 events of the 2009 Five Diamond World Poker Classic from Nov 27 to Dec 19. The $10K H.O.R.S.E. event is scheduled for Dec 5 and the $10K PLO event will play out on Dec 9. The $15K Main Event WPT Doyle Brunson Classic Championship will be a six-day event starting on Dec 14.
