Evelyn Ng's Big Wish: Peace on Earth

Poker has many different types of professional players and personalities floating around the game. There are beautiful players who look like they should be acting in a movie more than on a
poker table. There are dignified players who always behave with etiquette and poise, and there are players who always sit down to compete with ferocity no matter what the poker setting may be.
Then there are a few players who are all these things, players like Bodog Poker Pro Evelyn "Evy Baby" Ng. She combines beauty with class and competitiveness, and has become one of the most popular players for fans and television cameras.
We caught up to the busy Toronto native to find out how she intends to enjoy the holidays this year. Unlike many young poker professionals, she won't be heading home for the holidays, and will be staying in Nevada for Christmas. "I'll be in Las Vegas with my boyfriend Lex." said Ng. One can hardly blame her for choosing Nevada temperatures over frigid Toronto in December.
When asked about her favorite Christmas memories it was all business for Evy Baby. "I remember writing out my letters to Santa very carefully so he didn't screw up my order. I mean, my presents." It seems she's always known exactly what she wants.
Her love for the finer things in life has always fueled her competitiveness, and she's been able to have enough success to have the things she wants in life. When asked what is on her Christmas wish list for this year she asked for the same thing every poker player asks for. "I have pretty much everything I want, so I guess I'll take a tournament bracelet.
Ng will be looking to rebound from a year that didn't produce her usual results. The 2009
WSOP found her under the weather for most of the action, but she's looking forward to what 2010 is going to bring. Ng has earned over $340K in live tournament action, and she's been a successful ring game player for years. The six-foot beauty has been busy doing television appearances in between poker sessions, and the rest of her time is spent with poker pro boyfriend Lex "RaSZi" Veldhuis.
She seems to have it all going for her, and when asked what wish she would make come true if she could she said that "Peace on earth and goodwill toward men sounds like a good idea."
