Favorite Drinks at the 2009 WSOP

Most people like to have a drink while they're enjoying themselves in Las Vegas. In most casinos the drinks are free while gambling, so one can take the time to find the drinks they like the best. Here are a few favourite drinks that one can enjoy around town or by the pool.

Dom Perignon is still the one that tops the list. The Champagne of Champagne is only brought out to celebrate a victory. If you're drinking Dom you're celebrating a winfall on the casino floor or at the poker tables. There's Champagne, and then there's Dom, and priced at as much as $1K per bottle in Sin City it's never an inexpensive treat. The Poker Brat Phil Hellmuth is known to buy the table he's sitting at a glass of Dom Perignon if anyone wants to indulge.

Many amateur players will prefer beer as their favorite alcoholic drink. Heading to Steiner's for the best beer in town should be on every beer drinker's to-do list. The Triple 7 Brew Club and the Chicago Brewing Co. are also good choices for great beer in Las Vegas. Most casino bars will have a wide selection of beer on tap as well as bottle brands.

Noir Bar has a famous selection of martinis, with none as famous as the Carrot Cake Martini. The drink has carrot shavings and raisins, as well as brown sugar and nutmeg. Cream cheese frosting rims the glass and tops off the decadent cocktail. Find it at the ultra-swanky lounge next to the LAX nightclub in the Luxor.

With the recent comeback of the mojitos, Boa has their own version called the Blackberry Smash. This one's made with fresh blackberries, spearmint, lemon, Belvedere Citrus Vodka, and Marie Broussard Parfait Amour liqueur. The drink is one of Tony Abou-Ganim's signature cocktails. He was one of the first professional mixologists to arrive in Vegas for the opening of the Bellagio back in 1998.

If you've been going hard for a couple of days, and you need the hair of the dog to get back in action, the Eyecandy Lounge has the Corpse Reviver No. 2. It's made with equal parts gin, Cointreau, and Lillet, an orange-flavored aromatized wine. Then fresh lemon juice and a splash of absinthe are added to fulfill the flavor of the cocktail.

The Warp Core Breach at Quark's Bar at the Las Vegas Hilton is a $29 drink with 10 ounces of booze in it. It has five different flavors of rum, Razzmatazz, and fruit juices. They add in dry ice to make it look like a science lab experiment, and it's served in a big round bowl.

And if you have a big winfall you can order a $1000 drink at the Forum Shops at Caesars. The King Richard's Pride consists of Hennessy Richard, Dom Perignon Rosé 1996 and Chambord Liqueur Royale de France, splashes of lime and cranberry juices, and one orange slice. You get to keep the Bacardi glass it comes in, which is the least they could do considering the price tag.
